Bibliography
There are many books on the subject of the Enneagram and how the system can help people in their daily lives as well as at work. Here are a few that I can recommend from personal experience. I’ll add more to this list as I finish reading them!
-
“The Essential Enneagram” by David Daniels M.D. and Virginia Price PH.D. (ISBN 0-06-251676-0). This is a great introduction to the subject and to finding your type.
-
“The Enneagram: Understanding Yourself and Others in Your Life” by Helen Palmer (ISBN 0-06-250683-8). This is, for me, perhaps the best in-depth exploration of the theory and application of the types.
-
“The ABC of the Enneagram” by Eric Salmon (ISBN 1-898555-08-07). Adapted from his original in French, Eric’s book explains the types supported by light-hearted illustrations.
-
“The Enneagram Made Easy” by Rene Baron and Elizabeth Wagele (ISBN 0-06-251026-6). This book ‘does what it says on the tin’ and is littered with very amusing cartoon illustrations (check out the ‘Dinner Party’ at the beginning of the book).
-
“The Enneagram for Managers” by Oscar David (ISBN 0-595-19546-6). This book reminds my in style of The Essential Enneagram, but is focussed more on work applications.
-
“The Enneagram Advantage” by Helen Palmer (ISBN 0-965-65670-5). In this book, Helen has adapted her in-depth style for the needs of the quick-reference reader so that it has both the depth and the ease of access necessary for its audience.
