Case Study 2 - UK Bank Product Marketing Team:

Challenge:

  • 40+ people reporting to the director
  • Poor team morale (bottom of employee engagement league table)
  • Ineffective executive and team meetings

Action:

  • Programme of 4 x 1-day workshops plus interviews with individuals and ‘mop-up’ sessions for non-attendees, over 6 months
  • Explored the Enneagram through panel discussion, practical exercises, observation of and commentary on team meetings

Results:

  • Employee engagement score zoomed to joint top of league table in one year
  • ‘Feel’ of the department also enhanced (i.e. engagement score improvement wasn’t a numbers massaging game!)
  • Individual relationships within the team improved and survived beyond restructure
  • Director repeated this programme at his next directorship
